Care Guide

Made to be lived with. Made to be cared for.

Your ARIIBE bowl is carved from natural marble. Variations in veining, tone and pattern are inherent to the stone and make every piece unique.

With a little care, your bowl will remain a beautiful part of your home for years to come.

Everyday cleaning

After use, remove any remaining food and rinse the bowl with warm water.

Clean using a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge with a small amount of mild, pH-neutral soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

Avoid leaving food or water sitting in the bowl for extended periods when not in use.

Do not place your marble bowl in the dishwasher.

Protecting your marble

Marble is a naturally porous material and can absorb oils, pigments and liquids if they are left on the surface.

Remove food residue promptly, particularly after serving oily or strongly pigmented foods.

For an additional layer of protection, food-safe beeswax may be applied to the inside of the bowl before serving foods more likely to stain. Always follow the instructions supplied with the product and ensure it is suitable for food-contact surfaces.

What to avoid

To protect the surface of your marble, avoid:

  • Vinegar, lemon and other acidic products
  • Bleach, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide
  • Harsh household cleaners
  • Abrasive sponges or scrubbing
  • Dishwasher cleaning
  • Sharp objects that may scratch the surface
  • Leaving strongly coloured or oily foods in the bowl for prolonged periods
Why does my bowl look different from the photos?

Every piece of marble is unique. Natural variations in veining, tone and pattern are part of the stone and mean your bowl is entirely individual.

How does the slow feeder work?

The sculpted interior creates natural obstacles around the bowl, encouraging your dog to eat at a slower, more considered pace.

How heavy are the bowls?

ARIIBE bowls are carved from solid marble and weigh approximately 2kg. Their substantial weight also helps keep them stable while your dog eats or drinks.

Polished finish

Polished marble has a smooth, glossy finish that enhances the natural colour and veining of the stone.

Each bowl is carved from natural marble and will develop its own character over time. Thoughtful care will help preserve the beauty of its surface.

Natural variations

No two pieces of marble are identical.

Veining, markings, small mineral deposits and variations in colour are natural characteristics of stone rather than imperfections. Your ARIIBE bowl will therefore be entirely individual.

Staining & etching

Natural marble will develop character with use.

Strong pigments and oils may cause staining, while acidic substances can cause etching: a dull or lighter mark on the surface of the stone.

Prompt cleaning and considered care will help minimise both.

Looking after your floors

Your ARIIBE bowl is substantial by design. Always lift rather than drag your bowl when moving it, particularly across delicate flooring or surfaces.
